With 30 combined years experience as landscape, portrait and event photographers as well as seasoned international adventurers, Michael & Derek will be your guides and teachers on the workshops
They are dedicated to creating a life experience you will never forget, blending photography, education and fun while facilitating relationships that last a lifetime.
Derek is the proprietor of The Purple Orchid Inn, a wine country resort located in Livermore, California. After leaving a ten year career as a wedding/portrait photographer, Derek and his wife Rhiannon left the busy life of Las Vegas and started a family on this sprawling property surrounded by his olive orchard.
Derek is a world class host, farmer, educator, and the owner of Cross Street Provisions which crafts its portfolio of wines, olive oil and other products grown on property.
